As we know, weather forecasts can change quickly. However, with winter weather in the forecast for later this week, we are already taking every precaution to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. We closely monitor forecasts, communicate with neighboring school districts, and evaluate road conditions to make the best decision possible regarding school schedules.

Here’s what we consider when making weather-related decisions:

• Road conditions and whether buses and cars can travel safely

• Current snow or ice accumulation

• The rate and expected duration of precipitation

• Parking lot and sidewalk conditions

• Weather predictions

When will you know?

We understand the importance of advance notice for families to make arrangements. When changes to the school schedule are necessary, we strive to notify families and staff as quickly as possible.
